• The Market
is held on Sunday morning in the Station St. Car Park. The Market
is closed on certain Sundays prior to Christmas - these will be notified
in advance.
• The Market is operated under licence from the Boroondara City
Council and in co-operation with Burke Road Traders.
• The Market is subject to the laws applicable at the time.
• The Market operates between 6.30am and 12.30pm with all stallholders
required to be totally packed up by 1.00pm.
• New factory made goods, factory seconds (especially apparel)
and pets (including fish) cannot be sold. Stallholders will hold Rotary
indemnified for any action against them for stolen or illegal goods
sold by them. .
• The sale of any kind of food including fruit and vegetables
is prohibited without prior written approval from the Boroondara City
Council Health Department and the Market Management.
• Alcohol, tobacco, firearms, explosives, poisons or pornography
are NOT permitted for sale. Alcohol is NOT permitted to be consumed
within the market. Firearms are NOT permitted in the area.
• Stallholders MUST NOT SELL, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, ANY COUNTERFEIT
or COPIED GOODS. Legal action may ensue.
• All stallholders are requested to maintain their stall in
a clean and tidy manner and must take away all unsold items, boxes,
paper and wrappings.
• The stall space is defined by the markings of a single car
parking space. A vehicle may be parked on this space. The display
of goods and operation shall be confined to this space but may extend
into the aisle by NOT MORE THAN 1 METRE. White dots mark the limit.
• Car movement within the market must be with care and consideration
of the public. The driver shall be totally and legally responsible
for parking and movement of the vehicle.
• Insurance - a Public and Product Liability Insurance is included in the stall fee.

Stallholders must not park in the car parks on the eastern side of Station
Street – Parking Officers enforce this. Council has provided car
parks for free stallholder parking. Market management will indicate
these upon booking/entry.
• Renting
of selling space is for individuals displaying their own possessions,
handicraft, or hobbies, and for Charities wishing to raise funds. RCB
is directed by Boroondara City Council to implement this policy and
hence has the right to determine which products may or may not be sold.
• Stallholders trading repetitively may require a second-hand
dealers licence. Please contact the City of Boroondara for further information.
It is the stallholder’s responsibility to produce a current Licence
if requested by police.
• No dogs
are allowed in the market unless on a leash.
• The RCB reserves the right to refuse admission to the Market
to any person without giving any reason and to eject or cause to be
ejected any person and/or his/her goods and chattels without giving
any reason. This decision is final and binding.
• Stallholders are responsible for complying with all laws, rules
and regulations relating to the goods offered for sale.
• The Market Management shall not be liable for any person using
these premises for any personal injury or loss or damage howsoever arising
whether by negligence or otherwise of the Market Management, its servants
or incurred or suffered by that person.
• Overnight parking is not permitted in the market or adjacent
areas - by order of the Boroondara City Council.
• Booking of space and positioning of stallholders are the responsibility
of the RCB Market Manager.
• Entry by stallholders is BETWEEN 5.30 AND 7.00 AM at the designated
entry. Stalls may be re-let to others after 7.00am WITHOUT refund.
• Online bookings can be changed to another Sunday ( not cancelled ) up until 5pm on the Tuesday prior to your Sunday booking. This MUST be done by ringing the office on 1300 367712. |
